MTS approaches facility access control like any other security solution – from a policy perspective.  We emphasize developing and institutionalizing a security policy that defines the threats and vulnerabilities and evaluates the organization that will use the solution before any system design is made.  This ensures our solutions meet the needs of the organization and can properly be used by the individuals within the organization.  We take into account any current investments in security technology to identify re-use and transition paths to a new system.  MTS designs and delivers professional facility access control solutions – software based edge technology systems that place the intelligence and control at the card reader.  Our solutions eliminate the need for cumbersome back-end infrastructure and replaces that infrastructure with software and smart systems. Our access control solutions are IP-based, and connected with only CAT6/CAT5e PoE network cabling and that is it! No other cabling needed. And because our access control solutions are really network appliances, we can leverage decades of systems management processes and technology, ensuring extremely high availability.

We integrate our facility access control solutions with our digital video surveillance systems, reducing the complexity of the operating environment while increasing the capability of threat mitigation and improved situational awareness.

What makes MTS unique in our field is our monitoring of our systems – we actively poll and monitor our systems’ health to ensure they are operational and functioning properly.  We typically are alerted of issues long before they become catastrophic issues, which can result in downtime.  And we typically remediate any problems before our customers are even aware of them.  Our facility access control solutions not only out perform traditional systems, but they are far more cost effective by reducing the costly cabling – and cumbersome back-end controllers, power supplies, and infrastructure associated with traditional access control.
